What a Place to Lose a Cellphone!

See the orange hunting cap? Chuck isn't deer hunting--he's cell phone hunting. Before cell phone hunting, he was hunting for property line markers
and scrubbed his cell phone off his belt.
No, he didn't find it.
We were able to program and activate his old cell phone on line this evening.
He's sad about losing his new RAZR K1M, but he's happy to have his old phone buddy working again.
Note: When going through brush and such--put your cell phone in a safe place.

We'll see if Shella puts any new posts on her blog with her birthday surprise.

Emily's Winter Cap

I took a picture of Emily's new hat while we were in Cheyenne. The TV weatherman just said that it snowed there today so she may be wearing it. I think the rows of different yarns are very cute.

Shella's 20th

Happy Birthday to our darling daughter, Shella. She is officially out of the teenage years and has mixed feeling about that loss of youth. Happy Birthday Pumpkin!

Conference Weekend

We got together to watch and listen to General Conference. We feel so blessed to have the Gospel with a living Prophet in our lives. It is such a blessing and joy to be part of an eternal family.

It was fun to have some of the kids around the table again working on projects of various kinds.
Nathan was recruiting help with his UNLV statistics homework. He finally had to be locked away to work on it.
The girls worked on sewing pieced quilt tops.
I had some of the little girls in the kitchen with me making rolls for dinner and cinnamon rolls for dessert. Kids played outside and inside.
Thanks kids, for making Dad & me happy. Be good wherever you are!

Miracle Baby & Mother

www.kwgn.com/pages/news_local_landing/?Two-miracles-celebrated-at-local-hospita=1&blockID=73336&feedID=202

This is our daughter-in-law Leslie's brother Ben and His wife Anna & baby Jay. It is an amazing story. Anna is from Cedar City. Her family and Leslie's family have been tending Ben and Anna's other little boy James here and in Colorado. Leslie's mom drove him back to Colorado and spent a week there after Anna came home from the hospital. Sharon drove Anna back and forth to the hospital to visit and feed the baby several times a day. As an update, things are going well.
Be sure to watch the video.

House Makeover

The hard work is showing on 300 South
Now I wish that I had some "before" pix to add to this post.
Ryan & Chani's ongoing project is coming together.

The old shingles had to come off to make way for new. Ryan & his Dad used the tractor to work smarter instead of harder. Most of the work used sheer Man Muscle.
At least 2 trips to the landfill with the dump truck were made to clean up after the stucco and roof.
Travis came for the weekend and he was enlisted to have some rooftop fun.
Steve and Trent and crew helped with the roofing project.

What a transformation. New Porch*New Sidewalk & Steps*New Windows*Stucco *Roof*Door
The inside has been transformed too in the last 3 years.
Chani and Ryan have talent and ambition. Their hard work is showing.
Thanks for bringing restoration and new life to this house.

Lund Campout Adventure

We spent Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday riding with friends and exploring the mountains and country near Lund. We were on a natural resources research and development project. Tuesday we logged 108.5 miles and Wednesday it was about 80 miles. My thumb that I used to push the gas lever on my Rincon may never be the same. We have found what is on the other side of the hill in many places.
I wanted to make a SMILEBOX of the pictures, but I can't figure it out. Meridy-when are you coming?
I'll try putting the pix on just the only way I know how. But-- I'm going to put them on backwards so they will be right side up when I finish this time.

Lee & Klea's campsite

Ron & Pam's Chuck & Cheryl's

Laron & Linda's

Have you ever been "Out in the Middle of Nowhere"?
Must be "Somewhere", because there is a sign.

Someone else was out riding. Do you recognize
this truck with the personalized license plate?

Wild Horses

We found that the signs are not necessarily accurate.
The sign read 32 miles back to Lund. I thought it read
22 miles (blurry sign) and the odometer registered 40 miles.
There is a big difference at the end of a rough road day.
We did not expect to find this rig, but it will be part of the research.
Ron will take orders for this hitch accessory.
Looking for gold at this abandoned mine site.
Linda was reading a Louis L'Amour book---
Could the story have happened here?

Does he look like a man who has just been run over by his 4 wheeler?
He rolled it on a steep hill trying to turn it around. Klea said that she
understands why I don't follow him everywhere.
Is this the Dead End Road?
No, just getting close to the end of a great day !
