Hoover Dam

On the way home from Arizona we unhooked a trailer and left our rigs at Railroad Pass. We then pretended to be tourists and drove to Hoover Dam. Since our last trip (before 9/11) many changes have been made.
Take a look at the new bridge being constructed to span the Colorado River. It will be a breath taking ride when the project is finished.
There is a new copper colored restaurant and parking garage (with a $7.00 fee) terraced on the side of a hill. We could n0t park there because we had an empty gas can in the back--security said so. It was a great day for a long walk from the free parking on the other side of the dam. So glad we went! Sunshine and getting out and about is so good for the body and soul.

That whole project makes me nervous! I think that it looks really scary! I hope the walls on the edges are strong and tall!
